Ellis Roderick, Instructor and studio owner.    Seasoned dance professional Ellis Roderick, brings a new approach to teaching dance to New Jersey. Ellis studied dance in New York & Montreal and has won numerous competitions. He previously owned the Xanadu Dance Studio that was located in upstate New York. With over 20 years experience teaching dance, he brings his vast skills and knowledge in ballroom to you: Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Fox-trot, Swing, Two Step, Hustle, Rhumba, Tango, Cha Cha, Salsa, Merengue, Samba plus other dances. Ellis is a strong supporter of the importance and value of good health and the great cardiovascular workout you achieve from ballroom dancing. Research shows that ballroom dancing is found to be a preventative exercise for osteoporosis. “It offers a combination of athleticism and arts in one unique package, for all ages” shares Ellis. With a strong extensive background in tap, jazz, ballet, modern adagio, gymnastics and choreography, Ellis brings a full service dance program to New Jersey. He has choreographed spectacular routines for America’s Jr. Miss and Miss America Pageants as well as videos for CMT. Ellis is recognized nationally for his ability to break down dance to its fundamentals with a soft and gentle approach. He is a gentleman on and off the dance floor. In addition, Ellis has created a wonderful program to prepare couples for their wedding day. He strengthens “non dancers” skills giving them the confidence to shine on their special day. He gives couples the training to dance at their wedding with poise and elegance, making their day forever a memorable experience.
